From the recording I Stir The Earth
Lyrics
I Stir The Earth
To make a place for thyme
And roses with their stabbing beauty thorns
I bless them all
With water from my well
And watch their silent shudder at the sudden chill
I leave them there
To struggle toward the sun
Between the dampened cold and warmth above
While near the ground
The thought occurs to me
That prayer and planting need a heartfelt knee
I genuflect
God's plan too vast to see
I Stir The Earth
Which, soon, must stir for me
